Become a Yoga Teacher with Ashley Ludman

Ashley Ludman-Yoga Teacher Training Ashley Ludman, OTR, ERYT is a highly trained and skilled yoga teacher and therapist. Graduating magna cum laude from East Carolina Univeristy in 1995, Ashley began a career in rehabilitation as an occupational therapist. She longed to work with her clients and students in a way that was preventative in nature, and found her dharma as a yoga teacher in 1999. Since then, she has studied and practiced Yoga and preventative healing methods full time. This is not only her profession, it is her life.

Ashley has been an advocate and a leader in the Yoga community in her home town of Wilmington, NC. She was a founding member of the Wilmington Yoga Center teaching cooperative, and owner and director of Seaside Yoga, the first yoga studio of its kind in the growing healing arts community. Throughout the past decade, Ashley has educated students, community groups and mentored new teachers and businesses in her local, regional and national communities. A cause that has been close to her heart is bringing yoga to the underserved populations in her community through ongoing interaction with the Grandparents Support Network, a weekly support group that provides outreach services to Grandparents raising their grandchildren. She has been training teachers in Wilmington since 2002, and has supported communities in Fayetteville, NC and Laconia, New Hampshire in the development of Yoga Alliance Registered teacher training programs.

In 2004, Ashley dove head first into the practice of Anusara Yoga, with Lila Pierce Brown, Todd Norian, Desiree Rumbaugh and John Friend as her influential teachers. To date, Ashley has over 500 hours of advanced study in Anusara Yoga and over 100 hours of training with John, the founder of Anusara Yoga. In 2007, Ashley was one of 50 teachers selected to study Advanced Therapeutics with John, and she is in the process of completing her Anusara Yoga certification.

Ashley is inspired by healing and spiritual philosophies of all cultures. In 2008-2009, she was fortunate to study Tantric philosophy and Neelakantha meditation with Paul Muller-Ortega, to whom she will be forever grateful. She continues to see the gifts of this year of initiation into the world of tantric meditation, and combines this with her ongoing study of shamanic healing practices, Taoist philosophy and I-Ching contemplation.

Since 1999, Ashley has consistently traveled to Costa Rica, and has guided many friends and students to this beautiful land. She looks forward to calling this sacred place home and guiding new teachers and students to their own sacred "home" within.
