Turn over a NEW LEAF in 2018 by spending a week nourishing your
Body, Mind, & Spirit at the Costa Rica Yoga Spa.
Sometimes we just need to slow down. We need to take a pause in the dead sprint of life and simply, breathe. When we slow down enough to hear our breath we often find an opportunity to listen. We begin to hear, often for the first time, what it is that we truly need and genuinely want.
Together, we will set the intention of nourishing ourselves in all areas of our life; Body Mind, & Spirit. Part of our time spent will be learning tools of how to better listen to our bodies “speak” about our needs & wants. While we begin to re-learn our own stories and the patterns of how our bodies “speak,” our stories can lead us to vulnerable and tender places where we can learn, heal, and grow.
It will be with great trust and grace for one another that we create a space to share, to search, and to truly NOURISH ourselves.
We will turn over a NEW LEAF as we cleanse from the old ways and usher in the new:
• With our BODIES: through yoga, exercise, cleansing food, & relaxation.
• With our MINDS: through daily mindfulness, discussions, writing & creative opportunities.
• With our SPIRITS: through our heart’s voice as we spend time together laughing, crying, eating & experiencing what it means to nourish ourselves.
Daily Workshop topics will include:
• Nutrition & True Nourishment
• Mindfulness & Developing Self-Awareness
• Healthy Self-Care Habits
Be prepared for daily exercise & movement, in the form of optional Yoga & Functional Circuit Training. There will be daily outings to the beach or other local spots, adventure excursions available (Zip-Lining, Hiking, Surf Lessons, Monkey Tours, etc.), enjoy Spa Services & plenty of relaxation. The meals we take in will be made up of local, organic, nourishing foods and will play a central role in the cleansing work of our week. You can also expect group time and solo-time to challenge you toward self-reflection and a deeper relationship with yourself… and of course, LOTS OF FUN!

As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner & an ACE-certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise), Erin always finds a way to diversify her training & coaching so it fits the individual, and finds fulfillment in encouraging & inspiring others to reach their goals. Often, a major overlooked issue lies in proper absorption & break-down of nutrients in our bodies. It is important to work from the inside out, addressing foundational deficiencies the body may have, and then build upon that foundation toward optimal health & wellness.
Setting goals can challenge and inspire you to discover what you’re capable of. Goals can only be achieved through hard-work, consistency, and accountability. We all benefit from a coach. Erin holds a BA from Oregon State (2004), and is a certified NTP through the Nutritional Therapy Association. Erin has been working in the health & fitness industry since 2004, from instructing a variety of classes (Cycling, Yoga, Cardio-kickboxing, Sports Conditioning, Specialized Group Training), and working one on one with individuals of all ages (rehab, sports performance, general health and weight loss).
Erin believes that having the opportunity to be continually active and healthy throughout life is an incredible gift and privilege that should not be passed up- no matter what age or season of life. Connection with others and encouragement is where we find motivation to pursue our best, and learning how to be better in tune with our bodies allows us the opportunity to find optimal health in body, mind, & spirit.
Rick Cummings is a local resident here in Bend, OR. Rick is passionate about holistic health; mind, body and spirit. He loves seeking optimal health in his own life and helping others do the same. Rick holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) here in Oregon. Feel free to request a copy of his Personal Disclosure Statement.
Rick is also an ACE-certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise) and likes to incorporate mind-body connective work, physical activity and breathing work when it is fitting for clients.
As a competitive athlete and life long student of the human soul/spirit, Rick believes that within the mind (and all it's faculties) lies boundless potential and the power for positive change. Many of us have a fragmented view of ourselves and experience barriers (many internal, and some external) that prevent us from using all our gifts and reaching for our potential.
A holistic approach means that we do not look at the mind and it's thought patterns only. We look to all parts of the person and the environment that may be affecting health. Past life history, Social influences, Physical health or traumas, Cognitions, Emotions, Spiritual & Religious beliefs; all of these play a role in your journey towards health.
Rick is currently studying at the M.E.T.A. Institute in Portland, OR and is immersed in leaning about Mindfulness-based and Experience-based methods, such as Hakomi.
The counseling experience offers a chance to expose the barriers, wherever they may lie, and break through into new and hopefully, healthy territory.
