The Global Nurture Project: Blueprint for optimal Health with Darin McBratney and special guests February 3-9, 2018
The Global Nurture Project is a program dedicated to serve any individual's physical, mental, and spiritual health using holistic, natural and intuitive remedies. We focus on an individual's entire universal make-up to develop in-depth personal healing modalities ranging from physical exercise to alternative healing practices and plant based supplements. Developing a long-term rejuvenation plan involves recognizing each individual's specific physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being; we take all these into consideration, and more.
Our intention is for our guests to receive their blueprint for individual optimal health including the best environment, nutrition, modalities of healing, supplements, exercise, plant medicine and much more!

Your guide: Darin McBratney
Darin McBratney is a futurist, yoga teacher, writer, BMW motorcycle adventure enthusiast, gardener, Iboga grower, counselor, surf instructor, plant healer, and a strong activist for peace in the world. Darin is the owner of the Costa Rica Yoga Spa and has lived in Nosara for 27 years. Darin was an adventurer and traveler from a young age. He began by living in New Zealand, Hawaii, the central coast of California, and Europe. Darin has been studying and growing herbs and plants for years and found that to be one of his strong points. He also realized that he had a calling to heal people through the use of nature’s most powerful plant, Iboga. His daily research has made him incredibly knowledgeable and his pursuit to discover every potential method of plant healing has lead him to the development of the world’s first combination of Iboga and yoga. We refer to it as Iboga Yoga. The Costa Rica Yoga Spa is now well known for this unique and powerful combination. Darin has perfected specialized Iboga soundtracks to ensure guests/clients the most fluid organic healing of their lives.
In 2005 Darin became critically ill during a time that appeared to be the pinnacle of his healthy and happy life. He went through 2 extremely hard years and became very frustrated with western medicine. Such endearments included being prescribed countless varieties of damaging drugs, misdiagnoses, and being sent to hospital after hospital. He came dangerously close to dying twice and all the while was paying a fortune in doctor bills and for obscure tests. This horrific two years instilled in him the path of healing naturally. Finally, through the use of applied kinesiology, Darin was diagnosed correctly in five minutes by Dr. Angelique Kay M.D. in San Luis Obispo, California. She discovered that Darin had Ciguatera which essentially was red tide toxins that entered his body while surfing during a red tide. This intrigued Darin to start researching all natural modalities of healing. Becoming discouraged with western medicine, Darin set a path so others wouldn’t have to suffer…a path to freedom. Darin's interest in applied kinesiology, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda medicine, iridology, metaphysics, and just about every other form of natural healing modality that is not western medicine, will be implemented at the new healing center. This is located at the Costa Rica Yoga Spa. Darin and his companion Elena are also available for private ceremonies in other areas of Costa Rica and abroad.
Preparation Guide for Iboga Therapy
The transformative nature of the Iboga experience will be most effective if you are dedicated and committed to following through over the long term with the personal insight you receive. Seeking out resources and support in your life will greatly enhance your success. The path of healing can be a long road that requires focus and perseverance. Iboga therapy can lead you onto a path to this greater awareness and consciousness. However, it is ultimately up to you to unlock the door to see, experience, and immerse yourself in the deeper meaning and the greater beyond.
In the week before your retreat
You should be well rested and hydrated
Take a balanced high quality multivitamin and mineral complex daily (without iron if you are male) plus 500 mgs of magnesium daily (preferably a chelated form such as magnesium citrate or another bio-available form – avoid magnesium oxide, it is not well absorbed by the body) to help balance electrolytes, smooth muscle tissue, and to protect your heart
Eat nutritious, well balanced meals and simple foods; foods such as whole grains, fresh vegetables, and fruit will be beneficial
Avoid greasy, fatty, and processed foods. If you eat meat, please eat only small portions of lean meats or fish. Too many fatty foods can make your liver sluggish. It is through the liver that Iboga is mostly processed
Avoid junk food. Too much sugar (especially pop or soft drinks), too much salt, and too much caffeine (small amounts of green tea are ok if you are caffeine dependent, but try not to drink coffee or too much strong black tea in the days leading up to your Iboga therapy) can be destructive to your body
Avoid artificial sweeteners (Diet sodas, sugar free gums, candy, or the yellow, pink, or blue packets of artificial sweeteners such as “equal,” “splenda,” etc.
Do not eat or drink any grapefruit, quinine (found in tonic water), or bananas. Drink at least 8 tall glasses of pure fresh water (2 liters) per day
Replenish your electrolytes: Coconut water and other isotonic drinks to help restore and balance electrolytes. Please drink some in the days leading up to your Iboga therapy
Do not consume any antipsychotics, antidepressants, or psychoactive substances (such as MDMA or other drugs) for at least 2 weeks prior to the Iboga therapy
If you are taking any prescription or over the counter medication of any kind, (this includes any cold or allergy medication) please advise us at least 2 weeks beforehand as many medications negatively interact with Iboga and must be worked out of the body until they are no longer present in your system. Iboga and western medicine do not mix at all and can be very dangerous
Please consult with your physician about the lowering/ending usage of any medication you may be taking or even dependent upon. If you cannot lower your intake or stop taking these substances, for reasons of safety or personal wellbeing, then you will be advised to not participate in Iboga therapy until it is safe for you to stop taking the medications
Please let us know if you are taking herbs, herbal supplements, vitamins, or other substances of any kind
*If you are a female of child-bearing age, you must ensure that you are not pregnant at the time of your therapy as the impact of Iboga on an embryo or fetus is unknown*
